CRITICAL ILLNESS (CI) Insurance
If you get critically ill and can’t work for an extended period of time, how do the bills get paid? Do you draw from your savings? Would you be forced to cash in your investments?
So how can you protect yourself in this situation? Critical Illness Insurance will provide a single lump-sum tax-free benefit - to be used however you need, such as business expenses - if you are diagnosed with one of 20+ covered life-threatening illness.
Both Critical Illness & Disability policies can be structured to return a portion of premiums paid to the owner after a certain time-frame if there is no claim. A premium refund is a huge advantage, and can act as a saving vehicle of sorts, while giving peace of mind in the meantime.
DISABILITY (DI) Insurance
What if your disability made you unable to perform your usual occupation as a health professional, accountant or lawyer? Can you maintain your current lifestyle or would you be forced to work in a different capacity at a reduced wage? Or would you be forced to draw prematurely on your retirement savings?
If you suffer a disability and are unable to work, a disability product will pay you a monthly benefit based on a percentage of your annual income for a set time period.
This is a Disability Insurance product that will pay a monthly income to cover business expenses (utilities, payroll, etc) for a set time period if the policy owner becomes disabled.
